The Executive Chairman Ohafia Local Government Area, Dr. Okorafor Ukiwe yesterday 4th January 2020 received the Abiriba Women Cultural Organization at his residence when they came on a courtesy call to congratulate him on his victory in the just concluded Local Government poll conducted in Abia State.
Dr. Ukiwe while appreciating the women also used the opportunity to commend them for their efforts towards development in the community.
The Chairman pledged to support the Abiriba Women Cultural Organization and other women organizations in line with the vision of the governor, His Excellency, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu Ph.D. and his amiable wife the First Lady, Her Excellency, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu, on empowering women across the state, participation in politics and economic development.
He further stated that the local government administration would create an enabling environment and equal opportunity for women to thrive.
The women in an encomium rejoiced in God for the victory He gave to Dr. Okorafor Ukiwe while assuring him of their maximum support for his administration.
