The Chief of Staff to the Abia State Governor, Dr. A.C.B Agbazuere has called on the Management and Departmental Heads of Government House, Umuahia to stick strictly to the approved number of workers coming to work in their departments.
Dr. Agbazuere made this call on Monday during a meeting with the management and Departmental Heads Of Government House Umuahia in his office
He disclosed that the measure is a means of controlling the influx of people into the premises.
The Chief of Staff while reacting to the daily upsurge of more confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state, directed that all visitors coming to Government House must henceforth comply with all NCDC and State government laid down protocols as part of measures of curtailing the further spread of the dreaded pandemic.
He urged them as a matter of necessity to continue interceding for Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, the State and Nation at large as well as appreciated the management for their efforts, doggedness, and commitment to duty especially during this critical time.
Responding, the Permanent Secretary, Government House Umuahia, Mr. Alozie Odoemelam commended Agbazuere for deeming it necessary to address them on the need to adhere to all medical and government laid down protocols during this period of COVID-19 pandemic and prayed God to continue to give him the wisdom and strength to pilot the affairs of the Government House.
The meeting afforded the management the opportunity to interact with the Chief of Staff on some issues facing their different departments.
