The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Abia State, Dr. A.C.B Agbazuere has said that the state government under the leadership of Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu will continue to partner relevant organizations in its fight against indiscipline and corruption for the overall good and development of the state.
Dr. Agbazuere said this on Thursday when he received in audience, members of the Anti Crime, Anti Corruption Peace Corps of Abia State in his office at government house, Umuahia.
He disclosed that the present administration under Governor Okezie Ikpeazu is solely committed in the fight against crime and corruption pointing out that anyone caught in the act will be made to face the full weight of the law.
The Chief of Staff who commended the members of the volunteer corps for their doggedness, patriotism, commitment and dedication to duty, urged them to forward a memo to the state government for consideration.
Responding, the leader of the group, Chief Dr. Ikem Nwokoro commended Dr. Agbazuere on his achievements since he assumed office as the Chief of Staff to the Governor, and informed him that part of their visit was to seek a way to partner with the state government in its fight against crime and other corrupt practices across the state.
