COVID-19: ENGR. CHIDI IZUWAH CONTINUES HIS FREEWILL DONATION, AS HE DONATES 800 PIECES OF HAND SANITIZERS AND 5000 PIECES OF NOSE MASKS.

Today, the 23rd day of May 2020, the Isiala Ngwa South born philanthropist added hand sanitizers and nose masks to his previous cartoons of Indomie noodles donation to prevent the spread of  COVID-19 in communities in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area, Abia State.

In an effort to mitigate the effects of suffering occasioned by the deadly Corona Virus (COVID-19), Engr. Chidi Izuwah who had previously donated 1000 cartons of Noodles to various communities and Isialangwa South LGA,  today donated 800 pieces of 100 ml hand sanitizers and 5000 pieces of face mask to Isiala Ngwa South LGA of Abia state. This is in addition to the 1000 face masks and sanitizers already donated to Amator and Mbarugba communities.

Engr. Izuwah who through his Uncle Mr. Raymond Izuwah delivered the face masks and sanitizers to the Isiala Ngwa South LGA TC Chairman Elder Nkem Onwubiko represented by his PA Comrade Ejikoma Justice.

Engr. Izuwah said he was constrained to donate the sanitizers and face masks when he saw the pictures of the Noodles donated by him being shared without people neither sanitized their hands nor wore face masks. He advised all Ngwa people and Abians to comply with government guidelines on the washing of hands and wearing of face masks to prevent Covid-19 in Ngwa Land,  Abia, and Nigeria, and the associated potential community transmission. Engr. Izuwah said “In times like this when the world is facing economic hardship occasioned by the effects of the deadly coronavirus, it is a responsibility of those who are well to do in the society to take care of others".

He praised the President of Nigeria, His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari, and the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 ably led by Mr. Boss Mustapha for the determined and inspirational leadership they have given in the fight to rid Nigeria of COVID-19. He also said the government of Abia State ably led by Okezie Ikpeazu Ph.D. ave done their bit and have tried very well in sharing palliatives and PPE's. He thanked the Governor for the great works he has done so far. Stressing that it is now left for those who God has blessed with wealth and positions of authority to augment the efforts of the government and ensure that the masses who are locked down for some weeks ago have PPEs and means of sustenance.

Engr. Izuwah through his Uncle Mr. Raymond Izuwah Director of Finance of the Abia State University Teaching Hospital (ABSUTH)  expressed optimism that we will defeat the dreaded virus the way we defeated Ebola but advised people to obey governments directives by observing regular handwashing with soap and water, observe social distancing, use alcohol-based hand sanitizers, stop handshaking and report suspected cases using the government provided channels, he further stated that in order for us to defeat this dreaded virus we all must play our parts.

He described his donation as a divine responsibility and not a gesture. Stressing that he is also willing to provide further assistance if need be.
