The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Abia State, Dr. A.C.B Agbazuere has lent his support towards the completion of a six hundred (600) capacity bar center for the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Umuahia branch.
Dr. Agbazuere gave the assurance on Friday when he received in audience a delegation of the NBA Umuahia branch led by their Chairman, Mr. Oliver Amuzie in Government House Umuahia.
He promised that the State government, himself, and other well-meaning Nigerians will contribute towards the project adding that before the year ends, the bar center will be roofed.
The Chief of Staff described them as his family asides the Nigerian Labour Congress which he served years back, noting that his passion for law led him to his pursuit of a career in law.
He further called on the NBA to continue to support the Governor Ikpeazu led administration in the state.
Earlier in his speech, the leader of the delegation and Chairman of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Umuahia branch, Mr. Oliver Amuzie disclosed that the essence of their visit which is also their first time of calling on the Chief of Staff is to intimate him as the Chairman of the fundraising committee, on how far the NBA bar center has fared.
Thanking the Governor for appointing their own person and member of the NBA to serve as his chief of Staff, Mr. Amuzie appreciated Dr. Agbazuere for his gracious assistance in the land which was allocated to the Capital City Bar Center, expressing his confidence that he will represent the association well.
The Permanent Secretary Government House, Mr. Alozie Odoemelam among other top government functionaries were present during the visit.
