Mr Onyema Wachuku, the Hon. Commissioner for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, on Tuesday, resumed duty at the Abia investment house.
Onyema was received by the Permanent Secretary, Nkwachukwu Agonmuo who welcomed and described him as a young man with a drive and a passion to serve. He told the commissioner that the staff is counting on his ideas and innovations to stir the Ministry.
The Permanent Secretary went further to restate his commitment to work with the Commissioner while appreciating the Governor of Abia State Dr Okezie ikpeazu for appointing a young and vibrant youth to man the ministry.
Nwachukwu Agonmuo laid the commissioner to a tour of the offices within the ministry and introduced him to all the staff present.
Onyema in his remark stated that prior to his appointment as a Commissioner, he worked with the Niger Delta Power Holding Company and that the experiences he had gathered over the years will come to bear in the discharge of his duties.
The 35 years old Commissioner thanked members of staff while reiterating that their contributions will help achieve the core mandate of the ministry.
The Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises is charged with the responsibility of promoting and supporting SME development in Abia state.
