Members of the Okada Riders Association in Oyun local government area of Kwara State have declared their support for the re-election bid of the Kwara South Senator, Dr Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim.
The Okada riders made the declaration on Sunday in Ilemona where they were received by the Kwara State Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Hon Muideen Alalade on behalf of Senator Rafiu.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the association, Mr Samson Adewole, explained that their support for the lawmaker was based on his numerous achievements and quality representation in the Senate.
He also appreciated the Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki and Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed for ceding the PDP’s Kwara South senatorial ticket to Ibolo which Senator Rafiu is a beneficiary.
Adewole promised to mobilise all members of the association to vote for Senator Rafiu and other candidates of the PDP in the forthcoming elections.
While responding on behalf of the lawmaker, Hon. Alalade who is also the PDP’s State House of Assembly candidate in Odo-Ogun constituency, thanked them for their support at all times, and assured that Senator Rafiu would continue to facilitate more development projects to his constituency.
