The staff of Abia State Passengers Integrated Manifest and safety scheme (ASPIMSS) was full of thanks for their new general manager Dr.ACB Agbazuere Ph.D. for offsetting the 3 months salary arrears he inherited upon the assumption of office on the 16th of October 2018.
Some of the staff who spoke to the News-Gazette Online expressed gratitude for the efforts of the new general manager at ensuring workers welfare.
At Friday 7th of December 2018, Dr. Agbazuere had cleared all the outstanding salary arrears and had also promised to pay December salary on or before the 20th of December 2018 so as to enable his staffs to celebrate the Christmas.
It is on record that Abia State University and ASPIMSS stands out today in Abia as the only parastatals that are up to date with salary payment in the state.
We, therefore, challenge other parastatals and agencies of Abia State Government to emulate this noble feat and pay up their staff to enable them to take care of their families and celebrate the Christmas.
