The Second term bid of the incumbent Governor of Abia state, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu garnered momentum as the entire Monarchs from Bende Local Government have thrown their weight behind his reelection.
Speaking during the Adoption of Dr. Chima Anyaso as the sole candidate for Bende Federal Constituency and installation of the chieftaincy title ‘Obi Bende’ on the billionaire businessman, the Eze’s through the Chairman Bende Council of Traditional Rulers, His Majesty, Eze Engr. Patrick Udeh stated that for “the sake of peace, Abia South Should be allowed to complete their tenure just like other zones”.
They urged their subjects to queue behind Chima Anyaso, who has proven to have the magic wand with which he intends to turn around the fortunes of the Constituency.
In a separate speech, Dr. Anyaso promised never to disappoint the monarchs who despite the avalanche of aspirants choose to adopt him.
