2019: OHANEZE NDI IGBO, THROW WEIGHT BEHIND GOVERNOR OKEZIE, ANYASO

The Leadership of Ohaneze Youth across Igbo land has endorsed Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie V. Ikpeazu for the second term in office and also the People's Democratic Party candidate for Bende Federal House of Representatives in Abia State, Dr. Chima Desmond Anyaso and promised to work for the success of their elections.

The endorsement of the Governor came in view of the need to maintain and sustain the Abia charter of equity.

According to the Council, there is the need for Governor Ikpeazu to complete his second term in office to ensure security stability and sustain the Infrastructural and Economic Growth of the State.

During a courtesy visit to the PDP candidate Dr. Chima Anyaso at his Igbere Home in Bende Federal Constituency, the leadership led by the Youth Leader from Abia State, Comrade Okey Nwankwo reiterated the need to have Youths who have contributed immensely to Economic and Infrastructural growth of the State to occupy various Leadership Positions in Igbo land.

Speaking during the visit, The National President of the Youth Council, Dr. Kingsley Dozie, reiterated the trust they have in Dr. Chima saying his antecedents speak volume of his great contribution to human and capacity building in Igbo land: "Let me say it for the hearing of all, Dr. Chima Desmond Anyaso is the candidate of Ohaneze Ndị Igbo Youths... We have seen his great achievement in Igbo land, we know and trust him, we believe in his capacity to contribute not just to the growth of Bende, but Ala Igbo in General. We are supporting him and this is a non-partisan support, we will mobilize and ensure he wins the election.".

The PDP candidate expressed his happiness with the endorsement and promised never to disappoint His constituents and  Igbo land: "I am humbled, I am excited by this visit, I won't disappoint. I am really privileged to have this endorsement and God willing, we won't disappoint. I am in this race, first for the Youths and secondly, for Ndị Igbo...

I can assure us all, Light has come to Bende. It's time we replicate our success in business to the development of Bende and our Great Igbo land. I will lead the campaign for real change of mindset of Our Youths through reorientation and we will ensure that our youths are gainfully engaged for the betterment of our land, we will take Bende to a greater height, we will continue from where we are now, as a private individual, we have built schools for free from Nursery to Primary School, and gave scholarships to Students up to University level. We will do greater things for Our people. We will not only feed our people, but we will provide them with solutions to become better. We have a passion to see progress and growth, for when we grow together, we will have a better society, I want to use this opportunity to call on other candidates to join us and support my candidacy to take Bende to greater heights".

The Council also approved the PDP candidate as Chairman of Advisory Council of Ndị Igbo Youths For the upcoming National Ohaneze Ndi Igbo Youth Council Meeting held in Enugu in 2019.

The Visit was attended by Ohaneze Ndi Igbo Youth Leaders from the various States of South East including Abia, Imo, Ebonyi, Enugu and Anambra and Rivers State, and also the Legal Adviser of the group, Barr. Emeka Odom.
