Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has extended his heartfelt sympathy to the Anenih family, Government and people of Edo State over the death Chief Tony Anenih, former Board of Trustees Chairman of the People's Democratic Party, (PDP) who died at the age of 85.
The Governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Enyinnaya Appolos, said “Chief Anenih was one of the most influential politicians of his era, whose wealth of experience and advise is mostly needed at this point in Nigeria's political history."
"His immense contributions to the development of Nigeria's democracy would be greatly missed", he added.
The Governor noted that the former Minister of Works would be greatly missed not just by his immediate family, but the PDP family and Edo State.
He prayed God to grant the family, Nigerians and the PDP family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
