“Abia Vanguard” of course copied the said publication from Sun News Online and pasted it on their page for whatever reasons.
A look through the said interview would reveal to any right thinking person that such words could not have come from me. There was no way I would have said my motion for the amendment of the Flag and Coat of Arms act was initiated after the IPOB situation and targeted at “giving my constituents life imprisonment”. That was a motion I moved very early in my tenure, in 2015, which has nothing to do with life imprisonment! Neither was it even about my constituents! How could I have even said it was “yanked off for lack of relevance”?
There are several things they attributed to me saying in the fictitious interview that by just reading through them once, one can easily see that the intention was to pitch me against my constituents, my political allies, and incite people. No leader will do that to himself.
While severe legal actions will be taken, let me make it abundantly clear that I never granted such an interview. My relationship with distinguished Senator T.A Orji and his son Ikuku Abia, Hon. Chinedum Orji, is more than cordial, and no amount of propaganda and lies can come close to tampering with it.
Again, my constituents are well aware of my plans for them, and can attest to my track record of attracting major developmental projects to them.This publication was only sponsored by someone desirous of making a dent on my ambition to continue to give the good people of great Ikwuano/Umuahia North/South federal constituency quality representation while implementing my master plan of making the constituency a major urban hub, improving on education and health, curtailing the menace of erosion,and boosting our economic activities through good federal roads and skills acquisition trainings.
We will continue to work despite the distractions.
