Evangelist Owojay, who gave the warning in reaction to unfolding plans by political actors with telling effects on the election of credible and God fearing leaders, raised alarm that politicians have raised enough money for disbursement particularly to Church leaders ahead of the forthcoming general elections with a view to campaigning for their candidature.
While advising the Church to be wise in their choice of candidate for various positions of authority, the Evangelist reminded church leaders of the present situation arising from the past actions and cautioned leaders against a repeat of same in 2019 democratic dispensation.
According to the statement titled “ALERT.”Evangelist Owojayi noted “election is on the way! Big money is coming” and “the politicians are going to visit Christian Leaders with real big money.
Continuing, he warned “Leaders, please, do not follow the way of Judas or Demas. Can’t you see what havoc; disaster has been visited upon the Nation and the Church by the error of 2015? Are we going to make the same mistake again! Let us forgive and forget the recent errors” but “let us as leaders stop patronising the enemy.”
