The attention of Peoples Democratic Party in Abia State has been drawn to threats by Chief Orji Uzor Kalu; a former Governor of the State whose eight years of governorship left trails of costly woes in the affairs and lives of the people of the State, that All Progressives Congress, a Party he recently embraced in order to escape from the long arms of the law, must do everything humanly possible to take over power from the PDP Government of Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu in 2019.
In as much as PDP appreciates the psychological trauma that has avoidably ditched the former governor into reverie, the Party is categorical that amnesty does not and can not amount to amnesia.
The greatest undoing Chief Orji Uzor Kalu is attracting to himself currently is expression of his assumption that the people of Abia State are fools who easily forget their past.
In his cash-induced inconsequential emergence as so-called leader of APC in the State last Friday in a drinking joint in southern part of Umuahia; a Party which official policy is unqualified odium for the Igbo, a Party that attaches more importance to cows than to human lives, Kalu failed to apologize to the people of the State for having emasculated them financially and debased them both spiritually and psychologically for eight consecutive years.
Any person that knew Kalu before he became governor in 1999, would attest to the fact that he was not that financially buoyant . The place where he, his mother and siblings lived at Nweke Street at Aba was just a modest set of three two-bed room bungalows they had bought from one Sharp-Point.
Their office at OKigwe Road at Aba was a rented three-bed room flat. In his village in Igbere, they had an upstair building that was not in the least magnificent. The building is located along Imo Iboko Road. It has two-bed rooms down and three upstairs.
At Lagos where Kalu resided, he had no house of his own. His office at J K Randle was a rented accommodation.
Kalu suddenly became a nouveau riche on assumption as governor. He built a 400 bed-room Palace in his Igbere town. Kalu built many houses at Abuja and Lagos. Her Mother forcefully acquired government land at Margret Road, Aba and built a super-duplex.
Kleptomania developed to an uncontrollable and unbearable dimension. Abia bled for eight solid years. Kalu bought ocean liners and sophisticated aeroplanes. Abia State continued to bleed. Kalu, her mother and brothers did not give a dam.
The undemocratic concept of mamacracy became enthroned in the State. Abians were reduced to bunches of irrelevance. The Kalus squeezed and sequestered the State's economy. Hunger became the order of the day.
Abia men and women were hypnotized into peeling melon at Nweke Street that kalu's mother supplied to Government House, Umuahia at a very exorbitant price. For one to be given attention in Kalu's government, one had to peel, at least, five custard rubbers of melon.
Orji Uzor Kalu 'raped' the State and people of Abia just to be become one of the richest men in Nigeria. The havoc he wrecked on the people of Abia State will take many years to rectify.
Any indigene or resident of Abia state that, knowing the evil that kalu perpetrated against the State, goes to relate with him, must be an enemy of the people.
For Kalu to threaten to remove Governor Ikpeazu in 2019, it means that Governor Ikpeazu's record of performance in less than three years constitutes a serious threat to his personality for his abysmal poor performance as a governor for eight consecutive years.
PDP already has in its intelligence boasts by Kalu that while members and supporters of PDP would be busy in polling units across the State voting for their Party in 2019, he would corner electoral officers and materials, with the tacit support of security agents, to his palace at Igbere and fabricate results.
The first meeting of APC presided over by Orji Uzor Kalu as leader of the Party in the State, as captured in the video below, ended in fiasco and total disaster as scores were brutally assaulted, even innocent Abians who were on their routine engagements.
To put it succinctly, the worst mistake Orji Uzor Kalu will make is to allow himself to be driven by the spurious assumption that the good people of Abia State are fools.
To be forewarned is to be forearmed!
