This first Saturday of April was effectively used by the Peoples Democratic Party in Abia State to put heads together for its proposed tour of the seventeen local government areas of the State.
Sir Onuigbo made it clear that the aims of the tour are to sensitize and motivate members of the Party in the grassroots, receive returnees to the Party and equally canvas for new members.
As would be expected, the Party would like to take advantage of the tour to assess the achievements of the Council Chairmen in their respective council areas.
Local Government Council Chairmen that were present in the meeting were those of Aba-North, Aba-South, Obingwa, Ugwunagbo, Ukwa-East, Ukwa-West, Osisioma-Ngwa, Isialangwa-North, Umuahia-South, Umuahia-North, Ikwuano, Arochukwu and Isuikwuato.
A cross-pollinnation of ideas culminated in the following sequence for the tour, which is expected to witness large mobilization of Party Stakeholders, Members, Supporters and Admirers;

By consensus, there will be a Grand Finale at the end of the tour. The date and venue of that Carnival of an occasion would be communicated appropriately.
Both the Council Chairmen and the LGA Party Chairmen that were present applauded the State Chairman and Members of the State Executive Committee for coming up with beautiful idea and assured the State Chairman of their commitment to the success of the Party.
Earlier in his speech, the State Chairman had praised the State Governor; Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, Ph.d for the volume of work he has done across the State and expressed optimism that with what he has done, the burden of election in the State in 2019 has been made lighter.
Among the State Executive Committee Members of the Party that were also present at the meeting were the State Deputy Chairman, Chief P C Onyegbu and the State Secretary, Chief Ibe Nwadioha.
