Governor Okezie Ikpeazu is constructing 4 new model public schools in Abia State, as samples and minimum standard for new private schools in the state.
The model schools are located at Ohafia, Umuahia, Abayi Aba and Obingwa.
See pictures of the ongoing Abayi Model School Aba which is expected to have modern school blocks, staff residential quarters, games and sports facilities, electronic and standard libraries etc.
Each model school will be powered day and night using solar based renewable energy system.
In addition to the model schools, 374 schools are currently under reconstruction in Abia State courtesy of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
Meanwhile, back to back, for 3 years Abia State came first in WASCE.
