The women wing of Nzuko Amaobi in Isiala South LGA declared their total support for the reelection of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and the speaker of Abia state House of assembly, Barr Chikwendu Kanu come 2019.
The women made this known on Tuesday during their general executive meeting held at the residence of Barr Obinna Nwaogwugwu in Umuvo-Amaise Ahaba, Isiala Ngwa South.
Speaking during the meeting, the women leader, Mrs Theresa Onyedinma,described Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu and the member representing Isiala South state constituency and speaker,Abia state house of assembly as children of great destiny whom their achievements within three years in office speaks for.
She said," Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has done very well even when his administration came when Nigeria is on recession. I joined him yesterday during his project tour and i was surprised that people are still saying the governor is doing nothing."
Mrs Theresa described Sen . Orji as a friend of the Ngwa Nation and father of Abia politics who believes and respects the Abia chatter of equity.
She said that, the over (1000 women)registered members from the 4 ABSIEC wards will vote and protect their votes for him, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, Barr Chikwendu Kalu.
Speaker further, she described the "KWERE MEE" convener and speaker Abia state house of assembly as a man of his words,a man who understands his people and an achiever.
Mrs Onyedinma noted that, "whatever they are saying here today has been decided by the general house during their last general meeting."
She thanked the special assistant to the speaker,Abia state house of assembly, Barr Obinna Nwaogwugwu for his support to the Amaobi women and prayed for God's blessings upon his life.
In her speech,the deputy to the former executive Chairman of Isiala Ngwa South, Mrs Gold Agu,charged Abia women to ensure that, their children who is of voting age gets their permanent voter's card.
She thanked RT Hon. Barr Chikwendu Kalu for his supports to the women of Isiala South and promised him of their unflinching support from now till after the polls
She also thanked the executive governor of Abia state, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for appointing their woman leader, Mrs Theresa as one of his senior aide and pray that,God will give him strength to leader Abia to the promised land through him (the governor).
Mrs Agu thanked founder of Vicar hope foundation and wife of the governor of Abia state, Deaconess Nkechi Ikpeazu for being a mother to the motherless, giving home to the homeless.
Amaobi is made of four (4) ABSIEC wards, namely:
Ward 1. Amaise Ahaba
Ward 2. Ngwobi
Ward 10. Okporo Ahaba
Ward 17. Amaise Amaise.
