That, not unconnected with the efforts of the Abia State government to nip the perennial flooding of the major markets in Aba and environs in the bud is worthy of adulation. In some cases there is need to build roads in the heart of the markets and channel rain waters to convenient points.
Just like the flooding in Ariaria market has been controlled by building Ifeobara water collation basin, techniques has been employed to tackle the flooding in Ezeiukwu road market by channelling its water into the Aba-Owerri road drainage system through the Eziukwu junction. This is one area people never understood though.
Though it is a common knowledge the havoc wrecked by flood in Aba as a rain belt area, yet that does not mean inauspicious as we strongly believe that the techniques employed will rub off perfectly in bringing the flooding menace in Aba to a halt.
