The Abia State Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu has stated that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu decided to invite the media in the country to come and see the progress made by his administration in order to end the era of underreporting of his administration achievement and crediting of the Governor's projects to others by the political opposition in the state.
The Commissioner who spoke with newsmen, said the media tour will enable the group to visit the 38 completed road projects alongside 96 ongoing projects across the state.
The information boss expressed that the visit would also afford media practitioners the opportunity to see each of the projects and interact with the beneficiaries of the Governor's giant strides in road construction, healthcare delivery, agriculture, education, promotion of group enterprises and cutting edge technology driven erosion and flood control activities in the state.
Chief Okiyi Kalu called on the residents and citizens of the state living around the location of the projects to troop out enmasse on Monday and Tuesday, February 12th and 13th, 2018 to welcome the group.
